QDos IT offers comprehensive ADSL connectivity and security, using the Vigor 2820 Series ADSL Router Firewall.
Vigor 2820 series
Compatible with all variants of ADSL (including ADSLMax, ADSL2+ and Annex M) the Vigor 2820 can also be used for cable-modem and leased-line applications thanks to its additional Ethernet WAN port. For wireless applications the Vigor 2820n has the same specification, but with 802.11 Draft 2.0 specifications.
A Gigabit Ethernet port on the LAN side provides high-speed server connectivity or uplink to a larger Ethernet Switch. Security features include content filtering, web application controls and a new object-based firewall management system.
The firewall protects against threats including DoS (Denial of Service) attacks, IP-based attacks and access by unauthorised remote systems. Wireless, Ethernet and VPN links are also protected. A new object-based firewall allows complete setup flexibility, including combinations of users, rules and restrictions to suit multi-departmental organisations.
Content control allows users to set restrictions on website access, blocking downloading of certain file types, blocking specific websites, blocking IM/P2P applications or other potentially harmful or wasteful content.
The SurfControl site categorisations enable users to block whole categories of websites, such as gambling, adult sites etc., subject to subscription.
Vigor IPPBX2820
Used in conjunction with the 2820 ADSL router series, the Vigor IPPBX2820 delivers fully featured IP PBX capability. This solution offers major user advantages such as costs savings on line rental, enhanced flexibility, reduced call costs and increased efficiency. A complete replacement to the traditional office phone system and analogue or ISDN lines, this uses VoIP and customers’ existing networks to provide company-wide telephony
VigorSwitch P2260
This 24-port fully managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch offers PoE, plus 26 Ethernet ports (24 Fast Ethernet, 2 Gigabit) and two SFP ports for fibre connection modules. Up to 16 switches can be stacked, and managed from a single web interface. QoS and VLAN capability, plus network/switch security enhance flexibility.
VigorSwitch G2240
A high performance, fully managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch, this features 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four SFP ports for fibre connection modules. Up to 16 switches can be stacked, and managed from a single web interface.
SmartMonitor
This powerful network traffic analysis tool is designed to work with the Vigor 2950 and VigorPro 5510 firewalls and the Vigor 2820 ADSL router series. SmartMonitor offers traffic sniffing plus application layer decoding, categorisation, analysis and statistics.
Vigor 120 ADSL modem
Providing a PPPoE to PPPoA bridge, this is a true ADSL Ethernet modem. The connected device – firewall, router or PC – can log direct into the Internet and have full control over the ADSL connection. Any device can be connected, including PCs, most Ethernet WAN routers and Apple Airport™ products, but the connection to the user’s ISP remains PPPoA.
Vigor 2710 Series router/firewall
This ADSL/ADSL2+ router/firewall is targeted at small office/home office users. Features include built-in wireless LAN (‘n’ models); VoIP (‘V’ models); Network Attached Storage via USB; and 3G cellular network data support. Connecting a printer via the USB port allows shared access.
Vigor 2110 series router/firewall
Offering similar features and options as the 2710 for cable modem users, this is compatible with Virginmedia and other Ethernet cable modem connections.
Vigor AP-700 wireless access point
A quick and easy way to add wireless connectivity to an existing LAN, this standalone wireless access point is also ideal for expanding the range of an existing wireless LAN, using its WDS features.
VigorPro 5300 unified security firewall
Featuring anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-intrusion, the VigorPro 5300 offers unified threat management to protect against network threats at point of entry. Providing stronger protection than simpler firewalls, it delivers real-time security monitoring and SSL VPN protection.
Analogue backup
Dial-up backup support is also available for the Vigor 2820 Series ADSL Router Firewall. An analogue modem automatically dials a backup ISP if your ADSL line or ISP fails, either temporarily or for an extended period. The add-on analogue modem provides V92 connections (up to 52000bps downstream speed) which is suitable for basic online activities.
The Vigor 2820 will detect when your ADSL connection fails and automatically start the dial-up connection using the modem which is connected to the router's USB port. Once ADSL service is restored, the router will hang-up the dial-up call.
